Sachel Brousseau/Rachel Pan / Double Bill

Make way for the next generation…

Rachel Pan

Ottawa pianist Rachel Pan is not totally unknown to the Prévost audience as this is where she gave her first recital. She was in the first part of a concert starring her older brother Robin, both students of pianist and conductor Michel Brousseau. That was in 2015 when she was only eleven years old.

Since then, she has gained maturity and has become a musician described by jurys and audiences as "poetic, individualistic, passionate and sincere." She recently distinguished herself at the Ottawa West Junior Music Club. While continuing with her studies, she is playing for the first year with the Bakersfield Youth Symphony Orchestra, in California.

Sachel Brousseau

A native of Prévost, Sachel Brousseau has been immersed in music since birth. He began piano studies as a 5-year-old. His participation in several competitions earned him many distinctions, including a first place in the Marcelle-Corneille competition at the Université du Québec à Montréal. In 2018, participating in his first international competition in Italy, his performance earned him a first prize in the Concorso Nuova Coppa Pianisti. In 2019, he again stood out in the Vincent d'Indy music school competition, earning many prizes in the 6th grade class.
