We are dealing here with rare, astonishing music; music full of mystery; music that delicately blends Arab-Amazigh sounds. It also stems from a primordial force since it is connected to earth, its element. It is the encounter of a master of his tradition, Said Mesnaoui, playing the hajhouj, an instrument typical of Gnawa music from the south of Morocco, along with two virtuosos of their instruments: Guy Pelletier on flutes and Bertil Schulrabe on percussion, who bring a surprising and modern perspective, a new definition of the Gnawa tradition that never loses sight of the secular influences of its roots.
